This simple and easy to make Cauliflower dish is crispy, spicy and super delicious. And it is also vegan so I hope you will enjoy it!

Ingredients
Florets from a medium cauliflower, cut into bitesize pieces
½ tsp salt
50g plain flour
2 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp rice flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp chilli powder to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp garlic granules
½ tsp paprika
100ml water
2 small red onions, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 red chilli, finely chopped
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp soy sauce
Method
– Add salt and florets to a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes (the hob turned off).
– Drain the pan.
– In a separate bowl, mix together the flours, salt and chilli powder, turmeric, garlic granules and paprika.
– Add most of the water and whisk into the mix until smooth and thick.
– Add some oil to a pan and heat.
– Add the cauliflower to the batter mix and coat thoroughly.
– Add to the hot oil and fry on high heat until golden and crispy.
– While this is frying, add oil and onions and fry gently for 6-8 minutes until golden.
– Remove the cauliflower from the pan once cooked and drain on kitchen towel.
– Add the garlic to the onions.
– Turn heat to low and stir fry with the chilli, ketchup and soy sauce until softened.
– Add the cauliflower to the mix and stir to coat in the sauce.
Serve as canapés or a snack with a cup of tea or coffee.
