This special Indian sweet is ready in minutes and tastes amazing. The recipe is easy to follow so do give it a go during the festive season.
Ingredients
1 cup semolina
1 cup sugar
cardamom
5 tbsp ghee
10 cardamom pods seeds, ground to a powder
10 almonds, roughly chopped
10 cashews, roughly chopped
Method
– Place the semolina in a hot pan. Dry roast on low heat for 2 minutes until slightly pink in colour.
– Place the sugar in another pan and cover in 3 cups of water. Cook for 2 minutes until the sugar has dissolved. Take it off the heat.
– Add the ghee to the semolina and mix well.
– Add the cardamom to the sugar water and mix well.
– Slowly add the sugar water to the semolina while you continue to mix.
– Add the nuts and stir through.
