As the title suggests, this recipe is so easy that you can even get your kids involved!
Ingredients
1 cup of plain flour
salt
ground black pepper
1 egg
breadcrumbs
1 tsp chilli garlic sauce
1 cup breadcrumbs
3 chicken breast fillets
sunflower/vegetable/rapeseed oil
Method
– In one bowl, mix the flour, 1 tsp salt, and a generous pinch of ground black pepper.
– In another bowl, whisk the egg with a pinch of salt and ground black pepper, and the chilli garlic sauce.
– In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.
– Chop the chicken breast into strips. Then, with one hand, thoroughly coat the chicken strips in the flour and shake off the excess.
– Then, use 2 forks to coat the chicken strips in the egg mixture.
– Finally, use 2 forks to coat the chicken strips in the breadcrumbs.
– Add 4 tbsp of oil to a hot pan. Then, add the chicken strips and cook for 2-3 minutes. Flip over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are crispy and golden.
– To check they are cooked, slice open a thicker piece – they should not be pink.
Serve with tomato ketchup, mayonnaise, or anything you like!
