As you might all be aware that my new book ‘Chai, Chaat & Chutney‘ was published in the U.K. on the 6th July and on that day we had a little party to celebrate with all the people who are behind this beautiful book and some of my lovely friends.

This launch was made special by the presence of my parents who came all the way from India to celebrate this day with me and my kids joined in too!

I am very excited as the book is now available in the U.S. and Australia as well. And on this occasion I wanted to share a little video of the launch we had earlier in the summer on my Youtube channel ‘Food with Chetna’.

Launch Party

We chose this amazing space in London called ‘Paper Mill Studios‘ and it has the most stunning kitchen anyone can ask for, I could easily cook there all the time.

I have been a part of a book group for many years now and I was super excited as my whole book group joined me at the launch too.

And lots of my fellow bakers from ‘The Great British Bake off’ joined me as well.

My Mum made some amazing masala chai for the guests.

There was lots and lots of food from the book itself, which I cooked for the guests to enjoy.

The drinks we choose to accompany all this food were these two brilliant wines from Hatch Mansfield.

Robert Oatley Signature Riesling 2015 and Errazuriz Estate Series Carmenere 2014

And also some great beer from Kingfisher.

The guests got to take a little taste of ‘Chai, Chaat & Chutney’ with them –

Chai from ‘Drink me Chai

Chaat from ‘Spice Mountain

Chutney from ‘The Wooden Spoon

Hope you have got your copy of ‘Chai, Chaat & Chutney‘ and are enjoying cooking from it!

  1. Wow looks like everyone had a great time. I’m living in the wrong country..I need to move there. I bought both of your books, love both of them. Especially the street foods, i enjoy making the recipes.

  2. I received my copy today, Chetna, and all I can say is “WOW!!!” Such a gorgeous cookbook, and all of the recipes look amazing! I fell in love with Indian food shortly after I graduated from college, and I cook it regularly at home for my family. I cannot wait to cook my way through your book! This is the book I had hoped you’d write after “The Cardamom Trail,” after teasing us with your excellent Indian cooking videos. Awesome job, Chetna – you are a treasure!
