This delicious meal is very easy and ready in less than 30 minutes! Perfect for the whole family.
Ingredients
sunflower/rapeseed/vegetable oil
2 red onions, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
300g long grain rice, rinsed
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chilli flakes
2 tsp deggi murch spice blend
1.5 tsp salt
180g raw king prawns
a small handful of fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
Method
– Add tbsp of oil to a hot pan. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes until softened.
– Add the red bell pepper and cook for 3 minutes.
– Add the salt, chilli flakes, deggi murch spice blend, and ground cumin. Mix well and lower the heat.
– Add the prawns and rice. Mix well.
– Add 600ml of boiling water. Stir through, cover, and cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
– Turn the heat off and do not uncover. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
Serve and garnish with some fresh coriander leaves and enjoy!
