Hot Cross Bun Chocolate Toastie

This is the perfect indulgent easter treat!
This recipe is in collaboration with Waitrose.

4 hot cross buns (I’m using Waitrose’s chocolate and orange buns)
soft cheese
90g 70% dark chocolate, grated
salted butter

– Slice the bun in half.

– Spread some soft cheese evenly onto both halves.

– Add a generous sprinkle of grated chocolate onto half of the bun.

– Sandwich the halves together. Lightly coat the outside of the buns with salted butter. Repeat the process with the rest of the buns.

– Add the buns to a hot pan and press down. Cook on medium heat for 2 minutes. Flip them over and cook for another 2 minutes.

Enjoy them with a lovely cup of tea!
