Makes 2 slices
Ingredients
oil of choice
100g gram flour
small brown onion, finely chopped
small handful fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp salt
2 slices bread of choice
butter
Method
– Mix the gram flour, brown onion, coriander leaves, chilli, chilli powder, and salt in a large bowl.
– Slowly add water a little at a time (around 100ml) and stop when you have a pancake-like batter.
– Take 1 slice of bread and cover one side with the 2 tbsp of the mixture.
– Add 1 tsp oil and ½ tsp butter to a hot pan.
– Place the bread slice, mixture side down, in the pan. Cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Flip it over and cook on high heat for 2 minutes. Repeat the process with the other bread slice.
Time to serve! I like to have mine with ketchup.
