Chocolate Brownie Tiramisu

This chocolate brownie tiramisu was a hit with the family. Such an easy recipe and so utterly delicious. Hope you will enjoy it too.
Serves 4 people

35g unsalted butter
65g dark chocolate
2 eggs
40g caster sugar
150g mascarpone cheese
120ml double cream
100g brownies
chopped hazelnuts
caramel sauce


– Place the butter and dark chocolate in a bowl and melt in the microwave. Make sure to only heat for 10 seconds at a time and stir continuously so as not to burn the chocolate. Set aside.

– Separate the yolks from the egg whites into 2 bowls. Whisk the egg whites to form stiff peaks.

– Add the sugar to the egg yolks and whisk until creamy and pale.

– Add the mascarpone cheese and whisk to combine. Add the double cream and whisk to combine.

– Fold the eggs whites into the cream mixture.

– Break the brownie into bitesize pieces.

– To assemble the tiramisu, place a layer of brownies at the bottom of your serving bowl, then top with the cream mix and a drizzle of the melted chocolate. Then, add another layer of brownies topped with the cream mixture, and a final drizzle of melted chocolate.

– To serve, drizzle some caramel sauce around the rim of the bowl and sprinkle some chopped hazelnuts on top.
