Watch my video to learn making beautifully soft home made Chapatis, also known as Roti or Fulka in India. These flat breads are really straightforward to make. Once you have tasted these you will never eat shop bought wraps again!

There are so many ways to eat these as wraps, with all sorts of curries or just warm with some butter and pickle. Enjoy!

  1. Hi Chetna! Thanks for this lovely blog! I love it and it is like a whole new universe is revealing itself to me. 🙂 Related to this recipe though, did you use only flour, a tiny bit of oil and water? No salt?

  2. Hi, when posting recipes on your site could you post the text of the recipe along with the quantities, please? That would be really helpful. Thanks!

  3. I agree with the above comments: I absolutely adore your videos but, unfortunately, I have trouble following the ingredients sometimes. For example what is “chapati flour?” I haven’t been able to find that in my local (American) grocery outlets.
Oops, I finally found the following after sufficient googling: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/chapati_flour
I still like the idea of textual recipes to go with the videos, however.
Thank you for all your hard work!
